Once again, Gruppo Luci renews its participation at Ecomondo, Europe’s leading trade fair for technological and industrial innovation in the field of circular economy and ecological transition. From November 5th to 8th, the companies of the group—Gesteco, Labiotest, LOD, Ecofarm, and Metaplas—will come together to present their solutions to address environmental challenges.
Participation in the fair, held at the Rimini Expo, represents a valuable opportunity for networking and meeting other entities and stakeholders in the environmental sector. Events like this provide the perfect platform to engage with experts and companies, fostering strategic relationships and exploring potential collaborations.
Gruppo Luci’s proposal
Gruppo Luci builds its business model on an integrated approach across its companies and actively listens to the needs of its clients. “Our unified presence at the fair highlights Gruppo Luci’s integrated approach to tackling environmental challenges. We believe that collaboration and knowledge sharing are fundamental to leading the ecological transition,” states Adriano Luci, President of Gruppo Luci.
Each company within the group contributes its own specific expertise, adapting to the requirements of each project. This method allows for the creation of customized solutions, optimizing business investments for concrete and sustainable long-term results.
Gesteco will showcase its services dedicated to sustainability and reducing environmental impact. With over 35 years of experience and a flexible structure, the company effectively operates in the fields of environment, construction, and sustainability, offering comprehensive support throughout the business process from environmental context analysis to the research and implementation of the most suitable solutions, with the aim of improving environmental performance.
Labiotest will present its advanced technologies for reducing odors, dust, and chemical contaminants. The company has achieved significant results by adapting its emission control solutions to various sectors and contexts, thus addressing specific needs. Labiotest technology is also applied internationally through its extensive distributor network.
LOD – Dynamic Olfactometry Laboratory – will use state-of-the-art detection systems and detailed analysis to showcase its expertise in odor analysis, including dynamic olfactometry and dispersion models for odor impact management, as well as consulting and training services. LOD helps companies control odor emissions, ensuring regulatory compliance and resolving odor-related issues.
Ecofarm will focus on healthcare waste management from a circularity perspective. The company offers comprehensive services for the collection, transportation, and disposal of healthcare and hazardous waste. With its sterilization plant, Ecofarm converts infectious waste into non-hazardous waste, aiming to reduce environmental impact, limit disposal in other facilities, and significantly reduce transportation needs.
Metaplas , based in Metaponto (Matera), specializes in the collection and storage of materials from the agricultural, industrial, and public sectors. At Ecomondo, Metaplas will present its solutions for material recovery and reuse, transforming waste into resources with an "End of Waste" approach. With an authorized capacity of 2,980 tons of managed waste, Metaplas actively promotes circular economy principles, converting waste into reusable materials. The group’s stand will also host Spei Srl, a partner of Metaplas, which has been involved for years in research and experimentation for the energy valorization of civil and agro-food sludge.
LOD’s contribution to innovation in biomethane odorization: a dedicated speech at Ecomondo
LOD Srl, as a member of the Italian Biogas Consortium (CIB), will participate in Ecomondo 2024 with a presentation on the importance of biomethane odorization. Specialist technician Marco Pontello will deliver the speech titled “Biomethane Odorization: The Chemistry of Interfering Compounds.”
Pontello will focus on interfering compounds that remain in biomethane downstream of the upgrading system, explaining how odor management and the removal of these chemical compounds can improve the safety and acceptability of biomethane. LOD is committed to precise analysis of processes and biogas composition, ensuring operational safety and compliance with industry regulations, ultimately improving the efficiency and quality of biomethane odorization.
This presentation is part of a conference where other sector leaders will explore various aspects related to biogas quality, from pre-upgrading to compression, providing a comprehensive view of advanced technologies for biomethane.
An opportunity for exchange and growth
For Gruppo Luci, being at Ecomondo means not only presenting its services but also engaging in dialogue with key players in the sector to share visions and knowledge. The event offers an ideal environment to connect with those working towards ecological transition, discuss the latest technologies, and address future environmental challenges, all while sharing Gruppo Luci’s principle that collaboration and innovation are essential to building a sustainable and genuine path forward.
